Cleaning out papers today and found 6 pages I had printed out with a time line for BOBS http.//www.barack-obama-timeline.com title - is Barack Obama Timeline It begins with 1959 description of his father Barack Hussein; Sr. and ends with Nov. 5, 2008, the election. I read this today and was impressed as to how juvenile the writing for this whole timeline sounded as though a child or a young teenager had written it. When you get to the link------there is a link for "Other Languages" to the right. I clicked and did not know if it was Arabic or what. If it is in Arabic, then why? This time line just makes this whole Obama life seem so 'normal'------when in fact there was little that one could consider normal. This article makes one point that I did not know that in some states in 1961 that it was illegal for people of different races to get marry. Was it illegal in Hawaii? The marriage to Stanley Ann as mentioned as having occurred in Maui was illegal under any circumstance; as Obama Senior was not divorced from his wife in Kenya. Now back to money: In 1971, our family was living in Hawaii-------we considered staying and then decided not because of the education system at that time in Hawaii. Punahou was the main answer-----however as we calculated what it would cost, we decided not although my husband had a great job. Obama has talked about living on 'food stamps'. This paper indicates that he was helped by his Grandmother and grandfather to go to Punahou with a scholarship given to him. That same year, 1971 Obama at the age of just 10 gets a scholarship to go to Punahou---an expensive Preparatory School. Is it usual for a 10 year old to get a scholarship to go to elementary school---even if it is a preparatory school.? The article states that this was because of his Grandparents influence. So she was working in a Bank in Hawaii , the Grandfather was retired from military---------what other income was coming in-----did Barrack senior contribute anything, did soetoro contribute and who else? Seems to this writer that Obama has taking other people's money since he was born. NOW FINAL QUESTION: The card image posted at the beginning of the article------what was the source for that card. I will go back and get the whole description for the link that I posted if the one above does not work; it was at the top of the printed page, and a little hard to read. Fascinating article you posted. Thanks - mj
