You need to take a history lesson. What the constitution did was establish a Republic whereby the common man voted for their leadres. One man, one vote, is equal representation.

Please read and try to understand the constitution. The US is not a democracy in the sense that you idealize, it is a republic with a very unequal distribution of power. The soveriegn states retain large amounts of power, and that is fundamentally undemocratic and unequal. Do you want to abolish the undemocratic Senate which gives Wyoming the same power as California?
