Old news for many of you…

But I finally thought "what the hell" and upgraded my AppleTV from the original to the latest yesterday.

Airplay is the cat's pyjamas and don't let anyone tell you different:

Real-time converted avi container movies from my iMac (that lives in my studio next door) to my first generation iPad (via wifi) while Airplay-ing wirelessly into the AppleTV and out to the HDTV. A two-hour feature ate less than 5% of the iPad's charge (it smartly sleeps the screen while playing).
