Folks,
I am a bit disturbed by the combative tone that has become noticeably more prevalent on the thread, of late. We are all adults, able to shake off an insult or two, I know. I also realize that, this being the internet, we are all free to be as viscious as we desire (within reason, as defined by our Webmistress.) But, I do not see the point of it all.
To my way of thinking, cheerleading for a stock to decline is *not* morally reprehensible, any more than cheerleading for it to climb. Some of us believe LGND will rise; others believe it will fall. So what? Opinions and comments should always be interpreted in light of the author's personal bias for or against the stock. For the most part, this bias is easily ascertained.
Speaking for myself, I do not wish TonyT luck, (for the obvious financial reason, ;-) but it is *not* anything personal. He has every right to be bearish, in my judgement. And those of us who disagree are well within our rights to do so. Correcting a misleading post is one thing; blatant personal attacks are quite another.
Don't misunderstand me: I find this stuff as entertaining as anyone! But, I have come to consider the LGND thread an unusually good one - civil, informative, usefull, etc., and I would hate to see it become anything other than that.
Okay, my little attempt at peacemaking is over. We can now resume the fun of clawing and scratching each-other. ;-)
Respectfully, RB |
