Mohan, back in the summer I said jokingly that the market was going to 20000 in 3 yrs, then when the market finally came to its senses and dropped 550 pts I started loading up on puts on the rebound believing that 5600 on the DOW would happen by 1/98. I thought I had a very sound understanding of why that would happen. Now I realize the folly of my ways. Government intervention/manipulation will probably drive this market to new highs. I have no clue anymore. The rich and powerful control the world and we the people always foot the bill. I feel like the kings henchmen are constantly banging on my door asking for a few more sheep to feed the Royal Families. I bought puts on GE, IBM, CA, PSFT, VLSI (a 6 banger yesterday), BA, and INTC. All are severely underwater. My only hope is that most expire in Jan. The one thing I know about this market is that I don't know anything. <g> djf
