I have found the snow in the Rockies of Colo is the easiest snow for me to ski. As I age, I'd rather ski on easy snow than icy wet snow. The snow here in Wa state can be just like wet concrete. It is very difficult to ski on wet concrete. Makes for strong muscles, but I'd rather not work so hard.
