"Comp USA's Christmas" As the Christmas shopping season officially gets underway, Prinicipal Financial Securities analyst Dennis Telzrow says CompUSA will probably see "good," but "not great" holiday sales. Sales should be much better than 1996 figures, Telzrow said. "Last year was kind of a tough Christmas in the PC world, because there was some transition in product that caused disturbances. You don't have that this year." "I think there's a lot of accessory and add-on business," Telzrow said. "And these little personal directories like the Palm Pilot are pretty strong, [althought] it's not going to bring a lot of dollars. And software's always big this time of year."
