Assuming that you are correct that this is a commodity industry, albeit with growth characteristics that corn or oil don't have, the time to buy is when no one is making money. On the other hand, the
proper P/E at the peak for a commodity business is far less than these companies sold for in the past - 10 to 15 times is the maximum anyone should pay.

I am new here, attracted by CEO purchase of stock. I would appreciate it if you would elaborate a bit on the "quite good fundamentals of the company" and what you think peak earnings could be in the next favorable cycle, and speculate as to when that might be. (My concern
is that Asia will cause results to be in the same place a year from now, and that a purchase now is at least 6 months too early.) Also, do you have an opinion on CY versus ATML?

With - sound - commodity companies you usually do not go wrong starting to buy down 80% from an all time high, and nearly 50% from a recent one.
