Administrative costs for medicare in 2010 were 1.3% of total cost. Administrative costs and profit for private insurers are in the 20% plus range. Pretty obvious what needs to be done
Total expenditures per patient are around $10k/year for Medicare vs. about $3k/year for private insurance. Pretty obvious single payer will triple our medical costs.
