Unless obama switches to the R party - I doubt you could get them vote R. Picking Rubio will not change the black vote either - even though he also would be an excellent choice.

The real battle as you know is the independents.

Do you remember the buzz last election with having a women in the race?

Obama cannot generate that buzz, he's already broken that barrier. Condi brings a new dimension and could energize not only the base but many independents.
