>>...Valence expects to complete its restructuring during 2012...<<
At one of the last two conference calls, Kanode mentioned "restructuring" but quickly avoided elaborating this point during the Q&A. Investors assumed it could be a reverse split, merger or a joint venture. Looks like the Directors on VLNC Board have been discussing this topic and did not reach an agreement. Bert supports bankruptcy. Donn T defends against bankruptcy filing. Now we know what Kanode meant. Maybe it slipped. Nominally the par value of most common equity is a penny or less. The hope is that they can restructure all their debts to match their future revenues and that they get $20 million loan for the working capital to operate. The common equity will be back in some form or another because Berg owns a lot of it, purchased as high as $15 to buy the Intellectual property from Bell labs, or maybe more. Bert offers to return to the Board under specific conditions. Will Donn T return? No idea how the prospective customers will see VLNC's survivability and to stay in business to supply batteries. Hard to believe this stock traded close to $40/share. jmo.
