La Jolla, nice place. I was fortunate enough to spend 5 years at UCSD (on top of the hill from La Jolla Shores) in the late 60's for my postgraduate degree. San Diego was quite different at that time but it was a lot of fun being there in the early days. Recall I had to drive to LA on old US 1 because I-5 along the LA/SD stretch was just being built. Encinitas was just a beachside village at that time.
