That's the problem with the GOP, but of course, I don't believe the Dems have any better answers. All we're being given is a choice between no tax increases and continued out of control spending (GOP) or tax increases and continued out of control spending. Both answers are wrong.

We need responsible government that forces people to make hard choices about what they want. If the American people want Universal Health Care, fine by me, but we need to pay for it out of current tax revenues. If the American people want Social Security, then fine by me, but force the current tax revenues to pay for it, rather than borrowing from my kids' future to pay for the retired of today.

I only know of one fiscal conservative in Congress. His name is Ron Paul. All others are bull shit artists and cheats.
