<<<<<what's at stake in those three years are some of the more gross instances of Bain's involvement in outsourcing, profiting from bankruptcies (job losses), and so on. So they are critical to the story of who Romney is.>>>>

What you can't make an argument against Romney for the years you KNOW he was managing Bain? If he managed Bain for those three years in question, I suspect it will come out. In fact it should have ALREADY come out. That fact it hasn't and the fact that Gergen says he didn't, suggest to me he didn't. Did he come back and sit on Board meetings at Staples for instance? Yes, but that is NOT managing Bain. Were things passed by him, oh I suspect they were, but that doesn't mean he was running the company on a daily bases .......There are plenty of issues to attack Romney on - and doing so is absolutely fair game. But I think democrats have crossed the line here, ..........unless something else comes out. To me and I'm just saying TO ME, it looks trivial and petty and I'm sick of this constant need to attack Presidential hopefuls on an issue that just doesn't matter but rather just because he belongs to the other party. My luxury for being independent I guess.
