I said goodbye to a favorite dance partner last night at O'Tooles. The 23 year old has been teaching here under "Teach America" after getting her BS. She is going back to Berkeley to get an MS in some sort of dinky dink Public teaching major that is well regarded by Government for upper level employment. You need connections in Gov of course, but she would fast track in the Dept of Education. A Obama supporter of course, but we can talk. Very sharp young lady.

I told her:

If you wake up on Nov 5th and find everybody in Berkeley happy, you will know that the end of America just happened."

She looked at me blankly and then smiled and said, "Oh."
