Both candidates are raising obscene amounts of money because they can. Neither one wants to be outspent by the other. That doesn't necessarily mean that the candidate who spends the most wins. I do believe that many voters don't get engaged until late in the campaigns, and that how those voters break will determine who wins in a close race.

Obama is in a weak position because of high unemployment. Given that, Romney has a good shot at winning but a stronger Republican candidate would definitely win. IMHO.
