The percentage of new single-family homes greater than 3,000 square feet has grown by one-third in the last decade, according to data released last month by the U.S. Census Bureau. The increase has occurred even while 4.3 million homes have been foreclosed upon since January 2007, a result of the housing- bubble collapse and economic meltdown. Slightly more than 1 in 4 new homes built last year were larger than 3,000 square feet, the highest percentage since 2007.
Good morning AG Does this mean figures are changing 1/3 rd of the nation new home owners are doing well there of could 1/3rd of the nation be doing well? . Price quoted for some of these new houses is around $300K , more of course if the area is in a high priced locale. I suppose I could come up with safety and resulting density change readings in regards to waste to justify 2 acre lots but I won't. Perhaps room for an organic garden and the lot size would indicate there could be a need for smaller tillers etc to aid many a back.
