First impression after unboxing my white Nokia 808.
One, the electrical plug-in is for some other planet, or for a part of this one I never visited, nor ever will!
Not European, not US.
Maybe perfect for Timbuktu, for all I know, but not for the US of A, nor the rest of the planet where people may be able to afford this SUPER EXPENSIVE toy!!!
SUCKS!!!
Ergo, no way for me to charge the dead as a doornail new toy, out of the box, without plugging it into my Mac, via USB.
Thankfully, that seems to work, with the supplied cable. Hallelujah!
The earbuds are nice. Excellent quality, tested them while the 808 is charging.
Seems about the same weight as my aging iPhone 3g. Bigger, fatter, but about the same weight, so fine by me.
I'll leave it alone until it charges up.
Then I'll see what it can do.
Probably not gonna happen until tomorrow.
Still can't believe they shipped it to me with a charger plug for someplace like Uranus. Unreal!
Off to dinner and drinks. Not going to hang around staring at this thing charge.
