Be careful on how your interpret the combined 'buy' / 'sell' sides of orders for comission charges.

What I think happens is that you're half right . All you buy/or sell at $5.00s is counted as one trade but if you sell some at 5.10 this is another grouping as to commision charges.
What I think you should do is provide a couple examples of a 'typical' days activity and have your buddy give his opinion on what the charges would be. (And don't do market orders)
