Seems NOK got caught staring at empty space while the pace in the market accelerated...

They've not clearly recovered a proper view of where the puck is going to be... that is properly integrated with an effort in not doing the "ready, fire, aim" routine in response.

The discussion of the others... Samsung, Apple, etc., today... seems to be suggesting that NOK may not be alone in having focus problems re the "positioning" relative to what the market has become...

So, perhaps a first question ought to be... what is the current market half life for any new device, OS, gadget... and who has a "more" correct effort in managing an effort that keeps pace... without that meaning forcing some "not quite ready" gadget out front as a "solution"...

Perhaps it really is as simple as looking to see who has a better device in terms of a pipeline with a utilitarian view of the "sustainability/upgrade-ablity" issues... without making the devices totally disposable and obsolete before you get past the cellophane in the packaging ?
