Sonny--- I too believe tech is the best way to go. Telecoms are a new tech growing and developing daily. The large,strong financials are OK but not my cup of tea. I do not like the druggies as too much time passes from developement to sales. Add the fact that the govt (FDA) gets their hands in the process and anything can happen. The portfolios I manage are down from the highs of the year but still up many times over what a bank would give YTD. I still like CPQ,AMAT,SUNW,ORCL and HWP. I sold 100% of DELL and a portion of INTC. Will only add to the first group as I think that is where the best growth will be short and long term. Of the 3 box makers CPQ will do the best IMO. HWP still has a way to go but could see 70 in 30 - 60 days. CPQ may see 70 before the next split. AMAT has beem adding multi million dollar contracts in force during the last few weeks. SEA chip makers are 1st in line for the newest/greatest technology. US makers will be there--- not follow as they cannot afford to lose their edge. ORCL and COMS should do great. Individual pref of those two, and hopefully I am correct in seeing share prices rising at approx the same $ amount of each--- buy more ORCL. If another couple months must be waited out--fine. Dec - Feb I trade little but will protect profits. In the spring if still holding all and nothing changes the portfolio will be kept and some HWP and INTC sold for trading,, must make pizza and vacation money.
