Hi there guys,

been a long time lurker. Trying my best to pick up value investing and the required temperament. Anyway, on a recent screen for low P/E, low P/B stocks and chanced upon TSN and SFD.

Both trading at 52 weeks low with spotty earnings growth records, and downgraded due to exposure to higher corn prices. Some insider selling at TSN, and on the contrary some insider buying at SFD. Also Joel Greenblatt a current shareholder of SFD.

Have any of you guys taken a look at these two companies? Both companies, to me at least, appear to have a moat and I believe should be able to pass majority of the costs on to consumers.

Would love any input as I am just starting out.

Cheers,
XC.
