Oooh
Demographics!

Fewer young people don't have to be stuck out of the work force. Steve you are extrapolating your own fantasies. No one can know the future- but I suspect our future will be pretty much what it always has been. After downturns there are upturns. After periods of low employment, there will be higher employment. After recessions, there are often boomlets, or even booms. The Chicken Littles of the world are almost never right- and even when they are right, they are only right short term.

Of course feel free to be negative. There will always be problems. But whatever they turn out to be, life goes on. If we legalize drugs, means test SS, and tax the wealthy the way we used to, we can invest in the technologies of the future, beef up our educational system - especially at the research level- to make sure our citizens own those technologies, and help broaden the technical education opportunities for kids who are not college bound, so that our citizens who want to work, have the skills to work.

But no doubt you've got your own little plan for America.
