Nokia Earnings Will Hinge On Lumia Sales - Forbes
With a tough transition period ahead, we believe that the extent of the drop in Symbian sales and the corresponding pick up in Lumia’s will be the key takeaways this quarter. Lumia’s performance this quarter will be especially important since it will be the first full quarter that it has had a big presence in the U.S. and to an extent, China. We will also be taking a look at the company’s operating margins and how its initiatives to cut back on expenses are coming along.
I can tell you right now that the Lumia sales sucked. Horrifically. If I'm wrong about this, I will be SHOCKED!

Why did Elop kill Symbian, again? I don't get it. Especially now that I own the Symbian Nokia 808. Lovely OS, really. Very much like iOS which is like home to me. Nothing at all wrong with it. Apps galore, I miss nothing moving from the iPhone to the Nokia 808. Why did Elop kill this fabulous cash cow again? I have absolutely no idea, except for the fact that he's a Softie clone and decided to kill Symbian just to push Windows Phones instead. No other explanation comes to my mind!
