Remember several years ago with the heavy snow that fell at rush hour traffic in Dec? We were without power for 5 days....it was definitely not fun ....but luckily we have a gas stove so we could heat the kitchen that way....and had wood for the fireplace. Cooking became a challenge....we are used to using the microwave for quick shortcuts more than I realized....but we did make it....had lots of good excuses to read every day. I definitely didn't like having to go to bed early....no wonder our ancestors got up so early....they had to go to bed early too.....
