Re: iPhone 5 rumors

Well, the game changer is gone.
they still have a bunch of things on the shelves (3D camera and display, waterproof technology) but I think they will hit the limit of high end smartphone market share sometime next year. The NFC technology is going to be interesting. It comes with the Iwallet software package which link all the credit card a family has in real time i.e. mommy can see all the charge his kids do and disapprove them, set the limit for each card and place those card can be used, pull the real time charge report.. Lighter weight, thinner, bigger screen, higher resolution display all will differential the phone. And the hidden feature is the communication chip that will support China Mobile's unique 3GS standard. This should get them about 6-7 million additional sales for Iphone 5. Right now the estimate is about 40 to 50m sales in 4Q...

I think Ipad mini with wifi at $299-350 is going to dominate the news next year. the lower price point will create a lot more sales and it will start to eat into Iphone and Ipad sales (i.e. you can get a cheap android with hotspot + ipad mini with wifi and viola you get both the phone and IOS on the go at much lower price than an Iphone). But if they can figure out how to maintain the profit margin somewhat they can continue to sell well and has tons of profit (but not growing).
