VoIP number and just use that as your phone? Obviously it might not work in the car, but you're not supposed to use the phone while driving anyway. :)

Buy you will need a wifi connection to make this idea work. .You can use facetime on ipad and iphone now if you have wifi.. So I assume that it is a easy application to do (phone connection is basically facetime - video).
