Thanks for posting the news Tom. Well, I blew the dust off of my Kalimantan map tonight. Puzzling still, to me, is the Dayak merger into IPJ. This latest release on Mahakan W and E is interesting. The maps show that there is now a Mahakan N with the addition of a DAYAK COW adjoining and immediately to the north of Mah....W & E.

Good news that the COWs are finally to be signed in December. Hope this will be a kind of Christmas present for us after all of the seriously depressing AU news in 1997.

I have e-mailed Donna Mason of IPJ and asked for the COW names which are in their applications to be signed in December and when Mongolian news will be released.

Plans still right on schedule! By the way Tom, I am really finding the Gold Monitor thread useful and informative, thanks for starting it up. We have been busy getting some wilderness trips planned for 1998 and look forward to catching some very large trout on at least three of these trips. Biggest in 1997 was so big that no one believes the size, but....we have pictures, it was a hybred Rainbow of 44 inches in length and would only need to be 18# heavier to equal the Canadian record!

Best regards,
Ron Everest
