So far Nokia been selling single core low end to mid end Lumias yet they moved 4 million units in Q2 and 10.2 million smartphones total. When they can compete with cutting edge hardware and software (like multi-core CPUs/GPUs, their patented LiveView and Windows Phone 8), the market dynamic will dramatically change IMO. I think Nokia will announce the new line of hardware in September. If they can ship them in late October in volume, they have a chance to have a profitable Q4. BTW, Windows 8 ships Oct 26, and touch laptops and ultraportables will be coming out in force. So don't underestimate the huge number of people being exposed to the Metro UI. That will carry over to WP8.
