Gemteacher's point may be that only team USA should be allowed to print global reserve currency while others should not be allowed to reject it. From his point of view he could be correct, but his pov is somewhat biased and so not applicable to the other 95%. Au contraire - did not mean to leave that impression at all. I believe it only practical that pboc diversify it's usd holdings into euro, gold, whatever. Denominating global transactions in usd is not the same as forcing payment in usd. Am trying my best to find takers in Argentine pesos ). For some reason they all want those dollars. Also agree that global reserve currency can be a curse. Holders of usd reserves have allowed the Fed to play the financial repression game and allowed Congress to abdicate it's responsibilities to develop a national budget. A ten year treasury < 1.5 % is crazy under the circumstances. Since no other "bond vigilantes" seem to exist to force a return to reality, perhaps the pboc and boj are the only players that can force some "normality" into the situation. Sooner better than later. Ten more years of such games and you will be right - it will be game over - reset. Am not afraid. One must always be flexible and a citizen of the world. BTW, do you have any references in Trinidad? I may need a new place to hide for TEOTWAWKI. Dave
