to all : I saw Terry Keenan at CNBC interviewing
a guy whose name may
be Steve Hanke, though I cannot swear :

- the Asian and Japanese crisis will plunge Asia into a
recession. Asian products will become cheaper and cheaper
which will put profit margins (of US companies ) under
increased pressure. That's bad news for the stocks
and will show up in a big way as of 1Q1998,

(On the other hand Michael Dell apparently stressed
the lower costs of components, such as DRAMS more than
offset the price decline of finished goods )
