It isn't a valid comparison. Note the DATES... and ask two questions... First, what PERCENT of the market did each of those numbers represent... at the TIME that the numbers WERE actually relevant ? Second, what was the real market and $ impact on the company of that number, at that time, in that market context ? If there is a strong parallel in the comparison in % and $/impact market terms... then it's a valid comparison. Instead, its a purposeful comparison of apples and oranges... deliberately presented out of context. You SERIOUSLY need to read those books I liked at Amazon, recently... That article tries to practice a simple sleight of hand by showing you the larger NUMBER in Lumia's shipped recently (with NOK losing $ on each one) in a comparison made with the smaller number others shipped back in 2007 to 2009... in a different context... when they were MAKING money on the products shipped ? You were suckered into thinking the larger number now... means "good" compared to the smaller number from a generation ago... which is exactly the reason the numbers were used as they were... intending to induce the error.
