Barry, Why do you think the stock is due for a correction? Hitachi gets its mainframe processors from IBM. Apple gets its PC processors from IBM. IBM uses its own processors in everything more powerful than a PC. Intel's "virtual monopoly on processors" may not mean much to IBM. AMD, CYRIX and others are challenging Intel's PC processor monopoly. JAVA may make the processor transparent to the user. As soon as users focus on power/$, instead of WINTEL, IBM, Sun and DEC will be at least as well positioned as INTEL. What will IBMs PE be next year if it hits 90 again as you predict? 2/3 of the S&P average? Right now IBM is telegraphing its tendency to drop by outperforming the NASDAQ. See www1.bigcharts.com
