If you're an Ayn Rand fan, like most current Republican officeholders appear to be, you don't give a shit about other people. That's what objectivism is about.
Wrong. Ayn Rand is against exploiting others to pursue your own happiness.

Rational selfishness, in Rand's view, is in a sense a "win-win" philosophy. You do give a shit about other people in that you recognize that, via interdependence, both you and everyone else can achieve a measure of self-gain.

Liberals of course believe that government should be in the business of organized exploitation.

P.S. - I have my own problems with Rand, of course, but I don't have to misrepresent her views like you're doing.
