Legal profession rose at a time majority of the people were not educated. Thus today we are forced to go through them even for mundane cases.

We have in Brazil the so-called "Cost Brasil" which is no more of a bureaucracy that survives the times people were not educated. Thus paperwork must be stamped by bureaucrats to make sure it was done properly.

To be honest with you, the amount of 'jumentos' in this country down here is immense. But the law is made for everyone. Thus the people who knows how to do things properly must go through the same process applied to 'jumentos'.
