I care more about the 99% than you do, apparently, because I have consistently decried the looting of the 99% to recapitalize the criminal banksters, while you continue to defend them.

As for being liberal or conservative, I've always said I was a fiscal conservative and a social and environmental liberal. But above all, I'm a pragmatist. So I defy easy categorization, but I suspect there are many Americans just like me, who have positions that span both sides of the aisle.

As to my fiscal conservatism, even within that, I take positions that are seemingly on the liberal side of the aisle. For example,
* I believe folks who make more than $250K in active income should be taxed more...we need to raise taxes
* I believe that universal healthcare and retirement security is an excellent aspirational goal for this country, despite the cost, but believe we should fund those things by cutting expenses elsewhere, like the military

However, I also have very conservative positions as well:
* I believe that we should not fund any program until we can pay for it out of current revenues, not out of promises of future revenues that never seem to materialize
* I believe in a balanced budget
* I believe that the function of the Fed should be limited to price stability, not Unemployment
* I believe that US sovereign interest rates should not be controlled by the Fed, but should be set by the free market through Treasury auctions and I believe the Fed should be prohibited by LAW from buying Treasuries, since that is simply a ponzi scheme and another way to print money and enable a derelict Congress to ignore their fiduciary duty to the American people to balance their budget
