I understand he had a shotgun, 2 Glock pistols and a AR15 assault rifle. So it had to be the AR15. I think it was in .223 Remington and comes with a 20 round staggered column magazine standard. The 100 round magazine must be a drum magazine.(Beta C-Mag ?) It likely jammed. I still think the 20 round magazine can be exchanged in a few seconds so that assuming he brought several with him, the outcome would not likely be different unless another citizen happened to be armed.
