The "right" of the government to stop you is what is limited by the Constitution. Has nothing to do with "democracy".

But that's beside the point. The most idiotic point in your paragraph (often, it is quite a challenge to figure our which of your points is most idiotic) is the claim that "And so massacre after massacre continues"...

There is no evidence that disarming Americans would decrease the number of such "massacres" at all. It is illegal for a person to possess teargas grenades, yet the man had one. That, taken alone, totally shoots down your argument.

At any rate, the toothpaste is out of the tube -- forever, criminals and nutjobs will have all the access to weapons they want. So it is really time to move on so as to decide what might actually be done about the problem. If you think you're going to get rid of the 2nd Amendment, I can assure you you're wasting your time.

So, WTF do you propose?
