Most of the fathers who "did" genealogy in the 1800-early 1900's, only did the male lines.....They must have forgotten the Mother was pretty important.....<ggg> One of the reasons that I've worked on so many lines is that....I have tried, and been pretty successful, in finding out who the women were in the 5 generations from me .....and in many cases .....many more women. It's hardest for everyone from 1790 to about 1850.....then the Census records started recording the other members of the household including women and children. Also, from about 1790 after the Rev War until about 1850, people were moving and homesteading on new lands....the early towns kept really good records until the Rev War.....
