Who Is The Smallest Government Spender Since Eisenhower? Would You Believe It's Barack Obama? That's a misrepresentation. If you had said who is the President who grew deficits the least in percentage terms? Then I would have believed it was Obama. However, Obama's deficit are larger in absolute terms than any previous President in history, including the Bush "spend like a drunken sailor" Jr. who was aided and abetted by Dick "deficits don't matter" Cheney. So don't kid yourself and become and apologist for Obama's spending habits. He's just as bad as all the rest.
