re: CONTRARY OPINIONS

The real purpose of sTOCKMAN, pAUL, yOUSEF, & etc. on this thread.

A warm and FUZZY THANKSGIVING MESSAGE

I really believe that, no matter how disturbing, contrary opinions are
extremely valuable to the mature thinking on this thread. WE all have
and express our own strong biases regardless of how objective we do
attempt to be. Contributors, such as pAUL and yOUSEF, frequently make
technical judgements and supply very valuable insights (though I think
that yOUSEF's conjectures (or calculations) on the limitation of speed
for AMD's mobile offerings will prove VERY soon to be provincial, pedestrian, and wrong. STAY TUNED!!!!) that enable the rest of
us to keep the larger picture in proper perspective. Without them
there is a real risk that in a flurrly of reassuring and mutually warm self-congradulatory messages that we will miss some real warnings
about the stock and/or company (these are two very really separable
entities).

Rather than discourage these contributions on this thread we should
encourage them and take full advantage of their beneficial impact.
Never confuse their value with the occasional detrimental intentions
that may form their underpinnings. Contrary opinion is good when it
ported to a productive use.

A number of you have contacted me either by E-MAIL or directly on this
thread about one of my recent repitious responses to one or more of
the contrary contributors. I believe it goes something like this:

"THANKYOU FOR YOUR THOUGHTFUL AND COURTEOUS RESPONSE"

As closely as I am able, I am attempting to paraphrase one of the great literary figures of our time:

In the original movie "TERMINATOR", ARNIE's alter ego, having been run
over and dragged around by a large truck retreats to a fleabag hotel
room for some self-surgery and repair work. Since his injuries are
profound, parts of the organic overlay on his robot skeleton start to
decay giving off some strong olfactory stimulants. (HE SMELLS BAD!)
A hotel cleanup attendant then knocks on his door, making a comment
about the odors eminating from his room. Arnold, who is in the process
of removing one of his badly injured organic eyes with a pocketknife has a need to not be disturbed despite the fine intentions of the
attendant.

In his head (or mind) a pull-down menu of various responses is
presented. Arnold chooses (as closely as I can recall):

"THANKYOU FOR YOUR THOUGHTFUL AND COURTEOUS OFFER BUT I AM BUSY NOW"

A HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!

Regards,

DARBES
