What a stupidly insane market. Hilsenrath, the alleged voice of the Fed, suggests that it is considering more easing and stocks and gold rally on a rumor which could easily be ( and probably is) false. It's happened before, and optimism turned into disappointment as the Fed did nothing. Look for the same thing to happen again. Fed will not engage in QE. Any economist worth his salt now knows that it doesn't work under present circumstances.
