Dan, Hope springs eternal, they say, and as an example check out the relationship between AOL's stock action and earnings announcements. The stock runs up ahead of earnings, as it just did, then sells off on disappointment. It's done this every quarter for quite a while.

Here's an post of mine trying to ballpark a fundamental valuation for AOL. Using the most generous assumptions my bearish mind would allow, I could only justify a little over $60/shr. Actually, $40 would probably be more realistic.

Which doesn't mean AOL will see those numbers. Wall Street still likes this stock as a brand-name internet play, though the hoopla over internet stocks seems to be wearing out a bit.
Best,
Steve
P.S., I see by your profile that movies are a big item with you. My girlfriend and I have been on a film noir kick recently. "One False Move", "Bound" and an older one by the Coen brothers "Blood Simple", all good flicks, though the first 5 minutes of "One False Move" are a bit violent.
