IBM keeps pushing the envelope for corporate interest rates, setting another record low for corporate yields with a $1 billion, 10-year bond that priced well below the previous record set by 3M only a month ago. According to S&P Capital IQ’s Leveraged Commentary & Data unit, IBM priced its bonds this afternoon with a 1.875% coupon, the lowest ever for a 10-year corporate bond offering, lower than the 2% paid by 3M when it sold $600 million of bonds on June 21.
