I was correcting you.

If you want to correct me, I suggest you write something that contradicts what I wrote.

So you are for larger and more risk taking governments?

No, not at all. I already stated what I am for.

"Which is all the more reason to do only what is necessary and keep their paws out of the rest. "

There's no way that they will be able to take more risks given the scenario in which we operate. I subscribe to the notion that if you can't do something right, don't do it at all.

So you don't think that when the private sector makes mistakes it costs us money?

Sure, some, but mostly the penalty falls on the company. In addition, unlike the government, companies are not making their mistakes and costing us money at our behest. With the latter, we have met the enemy and he is us. Now, that grates!

How much governments have contributed to civilization.

For about the thousandth time, no one is objecting to government. Government is a good thing. At issue is it sticking to what it needs to do and does best.
