I did research it tonight and wow you are correct higher crime in Eugene even though I lived there in peace for many years and have a brother (recently deceased) and sister who have been there a combined 80 years 40 each with no problems. I had no idea an eye opener you presented but still all in all Eugene is nice IMO.

But Eugene is still a lot more liberal than Corvallis. <G> Got the stats on that one?

community.statesmanjournal.com

Benton county 29% repug and libertarian and Lane County 28.7% so Eugene more liberal by a split hair. Plus I know it is I have been in Oregon 50+ years so will stake my ground on it. <g> Eugene has more liberals than Corvallis.

Looked at other stats of county vs federal registration benton county vs lane and lane has more demos but the difference is nil 44.85 to 44.1 so what the heck. <G>
