Kenneth, just think of the work which could be created in order to bring our infrastructure (roads, bridges, electrical grid, buildout of fast internet to throughout the US, along with rapid transit) into the current age. China and India appears to be make the necessary buildout. China and India are creating the US as a second rate power. They will eat our lunch if the US does not step up to the plate.

Article in todays New York Times about how weather extremes are damaging the infrastructure - roads, bridges, electrical grid. One engineer points out the electrical grid must be designed for the extremes which occur about 10% of the time and those extremes are getting more extreme.
