Ah...ghetto housing. It doesn't matter how nice the apartments might be, lowlifes will f&%k them up swiftly. I will never forget as a rookie cop being taken to some of those apartments in order to clear some warrants. It was winter time yet the trees appeared to have blossoms. Closer inspection revealed they were diapers tossed out windows and settled in the tree branches. We had to park the cars back from the buildings because they had stored shopping carts on the roofs that could rain down death or at least total out a car.

So why did they so swiftly turn paradise into a hell hole? Easy come, easy go. They didn't pay for it. So in the end we just created warehousing for folks who needed it and a castle for the criminal element.
