It isn't correct. Supporting traditional institutions != reluctance to change since supporting them can itself be a change in some cases, and most of all because reluctance to change is a far broader concept. One can be reluctant about the subset, while being accepting, or even eager for other types of changes. Also conservatism is a broader concept then support for traditional institutions.

So your trying to take a subset of what makes for conservatism not the whole thing, and then apply that to a much broader concept of change that doesn't even fit the subset.
