I find it hard to believe that they would bench Strasburg for the rest of the season when the Nats are a shoe-in for the playoffs and will need him there. Management will have to deal with a lot of upset fans and Strasburg himself if they follow through with this plan. Maybe they should give him an extra day's rest and see how that works for the duration of the season but that could be hard on the rest of the rotation. Where will Werth fit in, with Harper in the right field slot? I like your trade scenario for Lee. We've now got three pitchers making major bucko's and need to free up some dollars for some good players/prospects for the future. I'd hate to see Pence go because we got him just last year to help on offense and we needed a right handed hitter. He has done his job admirably well and is a good defensive player to boot. It will be interesting to see what happens between now and Tuesday.
